Intensive Driving Courses

Intensive driving lessons are available six days per week and can be tailored to suit your requirements. Rapid pass courses will benefit both new drivers and those approaching test standard. Lessons can be taken hourly for anything up to 20 hours a week, depending on your schedule.

Research shows that week-long gaps between driving lessons increases the cost of learning to drive as time is wasted getting back to where you left off. Taking intensive driving lessons dramatically increases your recall ability and therefore reduces the quantity of lessons required to become a safe and confident driver.

Any on-road experience you already have (such as the CBT motorcycle course, or even cycling) will be put to good use and linked to your car training. All lessons are on a one-to-one basis with the main objectives being to quickly and safely pass your driving test.

Getting started

Waiting for an available practical test date is often one of the most time consuming aspects of learning to drive. Typically, this can take 6 to 7 weeks. If you need to pass earlier than that, it is possible to take advantage of last minute cancellations to cut your waiting time down to as little as just 1 week. Assistance with booking both your theory and practical tests is provided free of charge.

Typical course schedules

Schedules are completely flexible and can be altered to suit your own commitments. The first 4 lessons are only £99 for new drivers. This works out at less than £25 per hour. Subsequent lessons are charged at £35 per hour. The following are examples of possible courses for new drivers:

  • 10 hours per week for 4 weeks (40 hours total) for £1359
  • 20 hours over 2 weeks (20 hours total) for £659

If you already have some driving experience, you can still learn to drive with an intensive course at the same rate as standard driving lessons.

Random Testimonial

  • “I finally passed my test with Neil as my instructor. I knew how to drive (or thought I did, having driven over 100,000 miles before, in other countries), but did not know how to drive consistently and correctly enough to pass the UK test. I had already failed 3 attempts before meeting Neil. There was a lot of ground to cover to unlearn bad driving habits that I had accumulated and been accustomed to over the years, before relearning safe and correct driving. Neil expertly made me aware of all my bad driving habits, and through providing extremely simple tips to overcome them and gently cajoling and supporting me in equal measure, ensured that I passed with only 3 minor errors – a testimony to his ‘different strokes for different folks’ approach to imparting good driving skills. Really grateful to Neil for not only getting me successfully through the test, but also teaching me to be a good driver – his tips for safe and correct driving will not be easily forgotten. I would wholeheartedly recommend Neil to anybody looking for a very effective, friendly yet results-orientated driving instructor.”
